DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) – Celularity (NASDAQ:CELU) may have just added a potentially significant new dimension to its cellular-medicine story: manufacturing revenue from a third-party regenerative-medicine platform.
Celularity and MuseCell Innovations announced a U.S. manufacturing collaboration under which Celularity will establish production of Dezawa MuseCells and related products at its Florham Park, New Jersey facility. The initial program covers authenticated MuseCell preparations, with the collaboration also contemplated to include Dezawa MuseExosomes and Dezawa MuseSecretome.
The headline number is the potential scale. MuseCell Innovations believes the expanded relationship could result in more than $300 million of aggregate purchases from Celularity over the next five years. That works out to an average of more than $60 million annually if the projected purchases materialize.
That distinction aside, the strategic fit is notable. Celularity already operates a 147,215-square-foot purpose-built facility in Florham Park, including nine Grade C/ISO 7 and six Grade D/ISO 8 manufacturing suites designed for commercial cellular-therapy and advanced-biomaterial production. Its SEC filings also describe the company as capable of providing manufacturing and development services to third parties.
CEO Robert J. Hariri described the opportunity as an extension of Celularity's manufacturing capabilities, saying the collaboration “demonstrates how the manufacturing infrastructure and cellular expertise we have built can also support innovative third-party technologies.”
That could prove important because manufacturing infrastructure itself can become an asset in the cellular-medicine ecosystem. Rather than Celularity relying exclusively on the success of its own therapeutic pipeline, third-party programs potentially create another avenue for utilizing its facility, technical personnel and CMC capabilities.
Peter Diamandis, M.D., Celularity's co-founder and director, emphasized the scalability issue, stating: “The ability to manufacture advanced cellular technologies reproducibly and at scale is fundamental to the future of medicine.”
The MuseCell platform also arrives with an established research history. MCI says the technology originated from work by Professor Mari Dezawa at Tohoku University and points to more than 120 publications involving Muse-cell research. MCI's research hub currently lists six published Phase 1/2 readouts and five additional trials in preparation.
There is also evidence of growing U.S. commercial interest. MedEsthetics reported this month that MuseCell Innovations entered the U.S. market in July 2026, highlighting the company's expansion into the American regenerative-medicine and aesthetics market.
